Drum Roll Please...........

As you may already know, Lemon Lime Studios has been undergoing some big changes within the last few months. Our business has grown and Emily and I have decided to branch into two separate companies. After an exciting summer of coming up with new names, creating new logos and doing all the other legal stuff that comes along with running a business, Emily and I are finally reaching a point where the official starts of our new businesses will occur.

So, it's time to start saying good bye Lemon Lime Studios and hello to One Lime Photography (Emily's) and Paper Lemon Photography (mine). Our old familiar webpage (www.lemonlimestudios.com) is still up for a little while longer, but stay tuned to that link for changes soon!

In the mean time, please check out my new blog at:

www.paperlemonblog.com

Thanks for supporting Emily and I in this new and exciting change!

Just for old time's sake, I thought I would repost the announcement Emily and I put up last spring. Here it is again:

"It began with life as students at Concordia College.

More specifically, it began with life as students in the photo lab at Concordia College.

We bonded over dark room fumes, late nights of experimental photography, discussions about aperture, iso, film grain, macs, and other topics that nerdified us to our other friends. We used each other as models when no one else would agree…eventually teaching each other to avoid being in front of the lens. We dreamt of our then imaginary and now reality photography business.

We were friends first, photography lovers second, and business partners third.

Our lives changed, our business is changing, our friendship will remain.

Lemon Lime Studios will be different and yet the same.

We are Molly and Emily. We were Lemon Lime Studios. We still prefer to stay behind the camera."

And, of course, what blog post about Emily and I would be good without some quality photos featuring US!

Jared

Jared is soon to be a graduate of Park High school. He's a jack of many trades as an avid fisherman and hunter, a talented baseball player and a student. We took a wide variety of pictures of Jared doing what he loves, but here are just a few samples from the day. Good luck Jared!

Alexandra

Here are some shots I took of Alexandra a little while ago. She has plans of becoming a fashion designer when she graduates next spring. Good for her! Best of luck Alexandra!

Ryan

I had a nice time taking pictures of Ryan in a couple of locations he loves. We took a wide variety both at the baseball field and at a nearby state park. I think he and his mom were surprised to run into me the next day at the state fair (what are the chances of that??) without my camera in hand.

Aaron and Heather

What a fun couple! Aaron and Heather are getting married in a few weeks. They are both as nice as can be and I can hardly wait for their big day later this month!

The Hales

Stillwater was the perfect location to take pictures of the Hale family. It was a beautiful day along the river. Cheryl (the mother of this family) is a nurse in my school district. It was a pleasure to meet the rest of her family and take their pictures. I also loved meeting Winnie, their very happy dog.

Sally

It was a treat to take senior pictures of Sally a little while ago. She is a former student of mine. In fact, I have had her brother and her mom as students in various art classes as well! These beautifully landscaped gardens were the perfect setting for the day. Best of luck with your senior year, Sally!

Baby Steve

Steve and Katie are long time friends of my husband. Their baby (already affectionately named "Baby Steve") is due within the next few weeks, so I caught up with them for some belly shots a little while ago. I can't wait to get to know little Steve (or Steveena!) when she is born later this fall.

I got married!

You may have noticed that there's a slight difference in my name at the top of this blog. I got married on August 9th. Although I would have liked to take pictures on the big day, I hired a great photographer (www.jodiannphotography.com). Before she got there, Emily and I were able to put our photography skills to work for a little while.

Emily, where did all of that hair come from?!??!?

The super model look?

My mom!

Another reminder of why I need to stay behind the camera! Will I ever learn?

Hair dresser Jane. She has cut my hair since I was about 3 feet tall.
